Razen:
I've a question onto network game
how will it work?
Marti:
central server, for "room appointment" and storing account info only
client has to run a program called "room server" which connected to all players in the same room
like LF2, the "delay tolerant" of Hero Fighter's network connect is low, therefore, when connect to distant computer, game will be lagged
coz want to ensure 100% synchronization on all PCs. no prediction, correction of synchronization is allowed
of course, allow more than 2 PCs this time
This is fine! Will be very good more than two players killing others in the HF...
can you join a game in the middle? that is, if 2 players are in the middle of a game in their own room, you can't jump in to the game. but can you enter the room so that their next game contains you too? otherwise you'll have to wait for the split seconds in which the game has ended and the next game has not yet started. i'm not sure if he thought of this yet.
another bunch of questions- there will probably be dozens (hundreds, once the game has passed the early development stages) of players playing. will you be able to:
1)pass-block a room, so only those with the password can enter?
2)enable the one who starts the room to block certian people from the room (not everyone)?
3)name your room? (almost definitly yes, not 100% sure though)
4)search rooms by name of room, or by a person in it? (i.e. "what room is hukko in?)
5)enable the one who starts the room to block all others from touching the options, like BG and number of objects, horses etc? (but the pixel thing and the auto zoom should be individual. even though it's the default I for one find it impossible to play with such a limited sight)
no speculation plz people (i think, he might, maybe). i want this to be an info thread, i'm sure we can all speculate on our own. if anyone has info they are more than welcome to share it.
I don't understand, but did this means many players can play at once with network game?
If yes, it will be very good for a team battle, or form a clan like LF2 in LF2 Global, so it can finished in one battle (if all online at once)
